We are so excited to announce that Nottingham Lions have a new member of their pride - Faith in Families! We will be the charity partner for the ice hockey team for the 2018-19 season. Our logo will be worn proudly on both sets of official team shirts from September when the season starts. As a local charity, we are thrilled that Nottingham Lions have partnered with us, and we look forward to working with them. This new partnership is a great fit for us, especially because our Patron Jayne Torvill is an Olympic ice skating champion. Our CEO Lynda Fletcher spoke to nottinghamlions.co.uk about the partnership: “We are proud to be the charity partner of the Nottingham Lions ice hockey team for the 2018/19 season. Our patron, Jayne Torvill OBE, is known as a gold medal Olympian ice skater, and is also a wonderful adoptive parent, so a partnership with the Nottingham Lions is very exciting for us. We look forward to an exciting year working with the Lions and will be cheering them on all the way!” Lions Head Coach Matt Bradbury also spoke about the new partnership “We always like to work with partners like Faith in Families as it is so important to showcase all of the great work that they do on a day to day basis.” “What really hit home to me is the charity’s vision, mission and values ensuring that children are at the heart of their decision making." “So many of the values are what we believe a player requires to be a Nottingham Lion.” “We look forward to offer a chance for the children and their extended family to attend Lions home games during the season. A lot of the family’s may have never seen ice hockey before which would be a great way to introduce them to something new.” You can find out more about the partnership, and the upcoming season for Nottingham Lions, on their website.
