You can make the difference

Welcome to Faith in Families

We are an independent adoption agency, Adopt Together, and registered children’s charity working throughout the East Midlands and beyond.

We know how daunting adoption can be and that every adoption journey is unique and personal which is why we tailor your adoption journey to you and your needs, and to the needs of the children waiting for their forever family.

We believe that every child has the right to grow up as part of a loving and nurturing family and we provide innovative, high quality services for children and families. Our staff are highly trained as recognised by Ofsted and are here to support you every step of the way, not just through the adoption process, but for life, offering life long support whenever you and your family may need it.

We are very proud to have been awarded the highest possible accolade in our latest Ofsted inspection (November 2015) 'Outstanding - Ofsted logo outstanding 2015-16with no recommendations'. This is a huge acknowledgement and recognises the outstanding service we provide to children and families - past and present. A copy of our latest report will be available shortly but in the meantime, our previous report is available 2012 OFSTED Inspection which also acknowledges our outstanding service.

Make 2016 a year to remember. Take the first step on the most rewarding journey of your life.....Join us for our next adoption information evening, Thursday 2nd June 2016 6pm - 7.30pm, where our friendly team of adoption specialists will be on hand for an informal chat. You'll also be able to hear from our adopters about their adoption journey. Information evenings are held at our offices, 7 Colwick Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham, NG2 5FR.

Those of us lucky enough to have brothers and sisters know how special the relationship between siblings can be. The mutual support they give each other and their shared histories are priceless gifts that help people flourish during their journey through life. Adopted children have usually had a hard start in life and it is even more important for them to experience the stability and support that being with their brothers and sisters can bring.

Sadly, sibling groups are amongst the children who wait longest to be adopted. Without enough adopters who are able to give these children a loving, secure and permanent home together, brothers and sisters will wait longer for a family or may even have to be split up and adopted separately. Being placed with their siblings may not be the best option for every child, but it is a tragedy if the shortage of adopters willing and able to adopt siblings when it is in their best interest is the only reason why brothers and sisters cannot stay together.

Of course, not every adopter is able to adopt more than one child and there are also many single children who need to be adopted, but we ask anyone who thinks they could become a parent to a child or children through adoption, please take that first step and find out more.

There is parking on site and our office is easy to reach by public transport - how to find us. We look forward to meeting you!

Dave and Jane tell us about their adoption experience

Dave explains: “Jane gave birth to our son Mackenzie after twelve years of marriage. He’s now nine years old. Before he was born, Jane suffered several miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy...
